Meet the Staff

Deborah Forster

Veterinarian/Owner:  Dr. Forster graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Health. She went on to graduate from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in 1981.

Growing up in Carrizo Springs, Texas, Dr. Deb has lived and worked most of her adult life in the Central and South Texas area and has lived in San Marcos for the last 14 years. Dr. Forster has spent most of her veterinary career in two small animal practices in San Antonio.  Being a country girl at heart, she moved to the Wimberly/San Marcos area in 1998.  In 2003 she built her current practice, which offers family pet care, that focuses on wellness and nutrition and other preventative measures to avoid health problems.  She currently lives outside of Blanco and operates a small alpaca breeding farm.  She also shares her home with her dog Gabby, and her kitties, Pudge and Frankie.  She has two grown children with four grandchildren so far.  Her children reside in the San Antonio area.  She is currently a member of the AVMA, AAHA, TVMA, TAVP (Board Member), CCVMA, and VMABC organizations. 

 

 

Julie

Medical Director, Customer Service Representative, and Veterinary Technician Julie has lots of experience in the veterinary care world, and understands all aspects of the owner/pet relationship. She has been in this field for over 10 years and and admits it is "in her blood" and loves it. She moved to San Marcos in July of 2009 from Bandara. She has one dog, Atlas, and four horses. She feels very fortunate to have found Dr. Forster and the staff at Four Paws Veterinary Hospital.
